Tomorrow, we leave for North Carolina. There's a lot of things to get done before we're actually on the road; inside and outside the "Puffin"... Julie named the RV, The Puffin. And one of the first things that went into it was a photo of Puffins on a rock. We bought it on the same weekend we went to Maine to look at the rig for purchase.

Julie will care for the inside and I'll look after prepping the outside. There's a lot of tasks and I suspect experienced RVers know exactly what to do and when. They've done it a million times and know the right order of tasks. I keep replaying in my head that video of the RV sales guy who said RV's on the road are like rolling hurricanes. And yeah, we worry that something will go awry and damage something besides egos because I didn't make a stinkin list.
Before leaving Ramblin Pines, I should
point out we did more exploring. It took a few different trips to find a good grocery store. There are several local (within 5~10 miles), good restaurants. The Grill at Lisbon is in the back of a convenience store, which is also a gas station and repair garage. We ate breakfast there and the food was delicious and abundant. You don't leave hungry or without a doggy bag. We also ate at Tony Locos for dinner and again, good food and we took most of it home... a lot of food. The last place we ate at was The Woodbine Inn. We passed it several times as we went out and about and the small parking lot is filled to capacity. We went there on a Monday night and sat at the bar. It's truly a locals bar and the people there all knew one another, were friendly and having a good time. They would fist bump damn near everyone as they left. I had the crab cakes, while Julie had a crab Quesada. We now know why the parking lot is always crowded.
We also visited Piney Run Lake Park. It is Audubon and conservancy park, which is littered with trails and tours and picnic areas. We hiked around the lake. The other images are of the things we saw in the way to Piney Run. The countryside is beautiful.
Lastly, I've put up another series of images. They're of Ramblin Pines campground and a friend that visited Julie most every day we were here.
